Noel Clarke

Noel Clarke (A.J.) was born and raised in west London. It was at school that Noel discovered his love for acting. Noel started his professional career in 1999 as mixed race Kwame in “Metrosexaulity” and has since appeared on our screens many times, staring in programmes “Auf Wiedersehen Pet”, and reaching a huge audience as the luckless boyfriend of Billie Piper’s Rose in “Doctor Who”. Noel has also appeared on stage numerous times, including playing a lead in Christopher Shinn's Royal Court play “Where Do We Live?” for which he won the Laurence Olivier award, for most promising new performer.

Noel is also an accomplished writer. For TV he has written an episode of Doctor Who spin-off “Torchwood” and BBC 3's commissioned pilot “W10 LDN”. He wrote and starred in the hit British film “Kidulthood”, which won best screenplay at the Dinard film festival as well as a Screen Nation Gong. Recently Noel wrote, directed and starred in the follow-up “Adulthood”, which was number 1 at the UK Box Office. In 2009 Noel won the BAFTA for Rising Star. He stars in the upcoming horror film “Doghouse” and Neil Marshall’s “Centurion”.
